Four of my poems have been published on The BeZine. Thanks to G Jamie Dedes and Michael Dickel, the hard-working editors.

Curiously, the first poem was the one I read on the final day of the 4th International Festival of Poetry in Marrakech. It was translated into Arabic for the occasion by my friend, Mohammed Sahafi, a Moroccan poet. Here is his version:

الفتاة

التي رقصت

قمرابو منجل

جلبت

كل الحكاية

وهذا يعني

قريبة و شخصية

موافقتي المفاجئة

وان المسافة

كاملة

هنا,

في نبض كل شيء,

حكايتي

وهذا هو مثله

الأيام المظلمة

وتزايد

عظامي و اجسامي

وهنا

اروي قصته

أرجله وأفواهه وقلوبه

ترقص الأبجدية

في لهيب القمر

والقارب يعيد النهار

*     *     *     *

وهذه

هي كل حكايته

هناك

طين

 وقصب في السماء

وعندي لهم

أسماء

خيوط ما هو عليه

وما نعرفه

رقصت العالم

لأجلنا

*    *    *     *
